Set to become one of the major developments of Abu Dhabi’s new district, the Louvre Abu Dhabi will have the honour of being the first project built on an ambitious masterplan rarely seen anywhere else.
It is part of a long-term strategy to bring more tourism to the area, which will become an “international cultural destination” thanks to a $27 billion investment.
The Lourve Abu Dhabi will be the first international outpost of the famous museum in France, followed by an outpost of the Guggenheim.
This new museum will be home to some of the most valuable artworks in the world and its innovative, spectacular dome will add to the environment strategy in the museum.
Once it opens later this year, the Lourve Abu Dhabi will be a key landmark of the district, boasting art, architecture and engineering that is the envy of the world over.
