Winter Service Operations

The City & Guilds Winter Service Qualifications (Scheme 6159) covers all Gritter types in common use on the UK road network. The qualification is delivered at our clients location, using their own equipment and facilities. Operatives are required to attend a Winter Service specific Health and Safety course, after which they can be assessed driving their Winter Service vehicle in accordance with the City & Guilds assessment criteria. Successful assessment leads to the issue of a NEREO Winter Service Operative registration card.

The qualification also contains a 2 Day Winter Service Supervision and Monitoring course (Unit 521) for those responsible for the planning and supervision of Winter Service delivery.
